Isaac's class had a field trip there last week. Caleb and I tagged along for the picnic part and then the walk around the lake. We left when they went to play at the playground. It was so fun to see Isaac and his buddies!

Scout Lake Park!
We LOVE Scout Lake Park! It's a little "lake" near the boys preschool. It has a trail all the way around the lake and then other trails that go through the woods. Last year they also added a pretty nice playground. Every spring, there are baby ducks and geese. There's also lots of turtles, fish, frogs, and beavers. The boys like to feed the ducks and geese. (Well Isaac really doesn't like it too much.) The adult ducks/geese are so tame that they will see you across the lake feeding other birds and will swim to come and get some bread. Then they will follow us around the trail, which is the part Isaac doesn't like. Scout Lake Park is like being in the country, even though it's in the middle of the city!

First post BMT haircut
Caleb's curly locks were so adorable in my opinion, but they were out of control. We decided to let him decide how he wanted to get it cut. He thought he might like to keep it longer so it "sticks out" of his baseball hat like some of his real live baseball heroes. But also thought he might want a buzz cut. If you know Caleb, you know this was not a decision he took lightly. I often found him looking in the mirror holding his bangs back or his curls on the side like he was trying to see how he would look if it was cut a certain way. HA!
He still cannot be in crowds, so our normal haircut shop was not a possibility. A new shop opened by our house and never had any cars in the lot, so we decided to try it. Besides two hair stylists, we were the only ones there! The girl was so sweet. In the end, Caleb decided to let her decide how to cut it. We were not sure his curls would come back after they were cut off. (Isaac had very curly hair when he was a baby, but once we cut them they never came back.)
Before:
After she was done, it was clear that his curls will be here for a while. Now they are back to being tight little curls again. So stinking cute! The humidity we've been having makes and because it's shorter now, it is even curlier than it was before! And the back, which she cut pretty short, is now trying to curl again too.
She let him pick which "product" he wanted in it after she was done. Of course he chose all of them!
He looks SOOO different than before his transplant. But doesn't he look good?!

Clinic Fun
Sitting in the BMT clinic for 5 hours is not my idea of fun, but the boys were SO good. It was worth all the waiting to hear that Caleb's labs continue to be perfect! He's off his anti-rejection medication and they've decreased his steroids! Here's some pics of us wasting time....

(Almost) Wordless Wednesday
His Ipod is the newest addition to his bedtime routine. His sings his little heart out until he passes out. He always falls asleep holding onto it...too cute. Of course I am the paranoid mom and have the cord all tied in a knot so there's no way he can strangle himself. (And we take it off of him once he's asleep.)

100 Days of (home) School!!
Caleb and his teacher have been keeping track of how many days of school he has had since we came back to WI. It's helped him learn tally marks, ones and tens. Last week he finally reached day 100! She did a bunch of fun "Day 100" things with him like they would typically do in kindergarten. Caleb wasn't too impressed with it, but Isaac sure was! C's teacher gave Isaac a hat too and he's been wearing it everyday since! HA!
