Fly on the wall
Isaac: I have a headache. And my knee have a headache too.
----------------------------------------------------
Caleb: Isaac! We get to see Jake and Sam today!
Isaac: Wow! I don't be-weeve it!
----------------------------------------------------
Isaac: I don't feel good.
Me: You don't feel good? What's wrong?
Isaac: I not feel good. I just borned (born) last week!
----------------------------------------------------
Caleb: Mom! My ear is hearing too loudly!
--------------------------------------------------------------
Caleb (to Isaac while they were playing with Matchbox cars): Take it easy! Drive safe!
---------------------------------------------------
Caleb (Whenever he's mad to whoever he's mad at): I'm gonna punch you like an acorn and eat you for dinner. (I know he got this from the Chipmunk movie, but have no idea if he's saying the line right!)
--------------------------------------------------------
Me: Isaac we are not going to sing about poopy anymore.
Isaac: Five little poopy jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped his head. Mama called the poopy and the poopy said. No more poopies jumping on the bed.
Me: Isaac, I do not want you singing about poopy. Do you want a time out?
Isaac: But I not sing about poopy. I just pretending.
----------------------------------------------------
Isaac (to a catchy little tune he made up): I have a butt crack. I have a butt crack. A butt crack. A butt crack. And I have a wiener. I have a wiener. I have a wiener and a butt crack!
--------------------------------------------------------
Me: Caleb, stop talking baby talk.
Caleb: It's not baby talk. I'm speaking Spanish!
----------------------------------------------------------
Me: (To Isaac after he ate his entire dinner, the rest of Caleb's dinner and was on his 50th snack afterwards): Isaac, that's enough Bugles! You are going to get a tummy ache!
Isaac: (sticking out his belly and rubbing it): No, I not get a tummy ache, see?

"I miss my twees!"
This is what Isaac whines every time we go outside. He's referring to "his" trees that lost large limbs during the storm on Monday night. Apparently he misses them being "whole?" Thankfully the tornadoes were at least 10 miles away, but the wind/rain at our house that night was terrible. Here's a couple pictures of the trees that lost a lot of large branches:

After the storm, our yard was littered with several large branches like this and also hundreds of smaller ones too....what a mess!:

But I shouldn't be complaining. Some people either don't have a house anymore or can't live in their house because the damage is so severe. We (and our families and friends) were blessed that night. (Joel's uncle's family had pretty severe damage at their house, but thankfully everyone got out safely.) I normally like storms, but I hope we don't see one like that for a long, long time!

Caleb's first T-ball game!!
Caleb finally had his first T-ball game last night. (Thankfully it ended just as the big storm rolled in). Things didn't start out too great for him. He wanted to wear sandals and we wouldn't let him. And he said that every pair of his tennis shoes "hurt my heel!!" He was screaming to the point of gagging/almost throwing up and we almost didn't let him go at all.
This guy was ready to go! (But then had his feeling hurt at the game when he really didn't get to play too.)
It was very unorganized, probably because it was the first night and there were 12 teams of 4-5 year olds! But Caleb had fun and that's what counts. He did such a great job listening and waiting his turn...we were all very impressed!
He also spent a lot of time watching the airplanes in the sky:)
Here's a quick video of one of his hits/running the bases. At first he had no clue where to run, but sort of got the hang of it towards the end....we need to work on running straight to the bases, or he'll be "out" more often than not:)

The things they say
(Isaac is really into who's a boy and who's a girl)
Isaac: I a boy and you a girl.
Me: You're right!
Isaac: And Daddy a boy and Caleb a boy.
Me: Yep. Is Macy a boy or a girl?
Isaa: A girl.
Me: You're righ. Is Grammie a girl or a boy?
Isaac: A boy. (In his defense she has short hair)
Me: No, Grammie is a girl.
Isaac: No! He a boy.
Me: No, Grammie is a girl like me. What is Mo (my mom).
Isaac: A boy. (she also has short hair).
Me: No, Mo is a girl too.
Isaac: Oh man!
Me: What about grandpa?
Isaac: Grandpa a boy. And Papa a boy.
Me: What about Mallory?
Isaac: Mal-wee? I don't remember!
Me: Mallory is a girl. What about Anna?
Isaac: I not remember Anna a boy or a girl either!
---------------------------------------------------------------
Me: What should we get Daddy for Father's Day?
Caleb: (silent)
Me: Well what do you think?
Caleb: Mom! I'm thinking!
Me: Oh, sorry!
Caleb: I know! How about a decoration?
Me: What kind of decoration?
Caleb: Like a deer or a goose.
Me: A deer or a goose?
Caleb: Yah, and you can pet them and touch them. But they are not real. They just a decoration.
Me: And where would you put these decorations?
Caleb: In your bedroom. Daddy would love that, right?!
Me: Right! Where do you think we would buy decorations like this?
Caleb: I don't know. We need to ask Daddy. He will know.

(Isaac started swimming lessons this week, which started off rocky, but now he's a little fish!)
Isaac: I the best swimmer. Ever.
-----------------------------------------------
(At Target buying more swim diapers for Isaac)
Me: Well Isaac, the only diapers in your size are pink.
Isaac: NO! I don't want pink! Pink is for girls. I a boy!
Me: It's the only kind they have in your size. And look they have Dora on them.
Isaac: Dora is for girls!
Me: Well if you went pee pee on the potty you wouldn't have to worry about wearing pink diapers.
Isaac: I not pee pee on the potty. I pee in my diapers.
Me: (sigh....)

Caleb's first T-ball game

Caleb was so excited that today was his first T-ball game. It rained most of the day and he was so concerned it was going to be cancelled. I called the hot line and there wasn't anything about it being called off. When we got to the field, we were the only ones there. After waiting around for a while, I asked what the date was and Joel's response was "June 14th", not June 21st. Wrong date. My bad.
In my defense, we have had a stressful few days around here (more on that later) and I was so excited to get out and do something fun. Caleb was disappointed, but took it very well. It helped that there was a "rock park" at that school so he got to play on the playground instead. Hopefully we'll show up at the right time next week and he'll get to play ball!!

Sport Clips
Caleb has needed a haircut for a while now, but he couldn't get it cut because of all the chicken pox scabs on his scalp. They are finally healed and he's been begging to get his hair cut at "Sports place," so I took him there last week after we were done running errands. Isaac isn't usually with us when Caleb gets his hair cut because he's a little terror in places like that (remember the last time I took him, he knocked down an entire display of metal hair product bottles??!!) But this was not a planned haircut, so he was along. And he made it known that HE wanted needed a haircut too. (He's only had his hair cut one time in a salon because I usually cut it when he's playing in the bathtub since it doesn't grow very fast. Plus it's still wispy enough that you really can't notice that I don't know what I am doing!). He threw a huge fit when I told him that he didn't need a haircut yet, but we could come back when he did. He was SO sad that it made me sad! In the end, his crocodile tears payed off and he got a trim haircut too. But the look on his face while the lady was cutting it was priceless. He looked so grown up sitting there. He didn't move a muscle the entire time and he looked so proud of himself when he was done.

Unfortunately Caleb is still running a low grade temp. I am glad it's not 102-103 anymore, but it is consistently above 100. I am sure his doc will be calling in the AM. Not sure what the plan will be, but I am praying that it's gone by then and we can stop worrying!

Fever update..
Caleb still has a fever. 102-103 when the Tylenol/Motrin wear off. His labs looked good yesterday, so they are leaning towards a virus. The problem is he doesn't have any other symptoms, so they aren't exactly sure what is going on. The main fever viruses they are seeing at the clinic right now are hand/foot/mouth and sore throats. He doesn't have any of this. Typically viral fevers only last 72 hours, which is today, so I am praying that this will be the end of it.
His liver was slightly enlarged again so he had liver enzymes drawn too. We won't have those results until Monday. Like I always say, there's never a dull moment around here!!

Last Day of School
As we were walking into preschool on Wednesday, Caleb told me "I love preschool!" That was the first time he's ever said that! I am not sure if he was saying it because it was his last day or not, but it was nice to hear him say it!
I wish I could have gotten some more pics of him and his best friends, but he was NOT into any picture taking on that day. (And the 2 pics that I did get are blurry for some reason...)But I did get a picture of C with his buddy Briley and his brother Jace (who Isaac loves playing with). Never a dull moment at play dates with this crew:)
(Isaac (2), Caleb (4), Jace (3), Briley (4) )

He did agree to take a picture with his beloved teachers. He is definitely going to miss these special ladies! They were so patient with him and he's blossomed so much this year because of them. They were also so careful and adapted plans to ensure he that wasn't exposed to things that could make him sick and we are so grateful to them for that! He is going to have Mrs Johnson again next year which will be great!
(Mrs Lange, Caleb, Mrs Johnson)

Unfortunately Caleb celebrated his last day by getting a fever. He's had one since Wednesday afternoon, so we're off to the doc later today...boooo!

OGROB (Operation Get Rid of Bubba)...
Obviously isn't going too well....

---------------------------
Isaac continues to think that he gets to be in T-ball this summer with Caleb. I keep reminding him that he's not old enough to play T-ball with the big boys and that he gets to take swimming lessons this summer. Here's what he had to say about that:
Isaac: I get to play T-ball with Caleb!
Me: You can play at our house, but you aren't going to play on Caleb's team at the field.
Isaac: Yes I am.
Me: No, you are going to swimming lessons!
Isaac: No I not. I not go to swimming lessons! I play T-ball with Caleb.
Me: You have to be four years old to play T-ball.
Isaac: I AM four.
Me: No, you're two years old.
Isaac (obviously getting a little ticked): No I FOUR! AND I PLAY T-BALL AT THE FIELD WITH CALEB!!
Me: When you are four you can play T-ball, but right now you are two years old.
Isaac: Oh crap.
