We're not in Kansas West University anymore

Isaac has been begging to go to Chuck E. Cheese (CEC) ever since we went in TX with Ellie and Jake.  He had so much fun while we were there.  I hadn't been to CEC for a LONG time, and had fun playing the games with Isaac as well.

I have been feeling terrible that he never has the spotlight shining on him, Joel and I decided that we'd take him there while my parents were in town.  (Caleb obviously cannot go to a place like that ever yet.)  We have been doing a joint birthday party for the "triplets" since they turned one, so I asked our friends if they'd like to join us at CEC.  Originally we were just going to meet up there and forgo a joint party this year, however the lady I spoke with warned me that Sundays are pretty busy there and suggested that a party would be a better way to go because we'd have reserved seats.  (Busy was an understatement.)  So, we decided to make it a "spring" birthday party and for Isaac, Sydney, Mallory, and Caitlin who turned 4 and Maddy who will turn 7.

We chose to have the party at the Brookfield CEC since it's located in the nicest suburb.  Let's just say it was the Jerry Springer version of the West University, TX neighborhood CEC.  It was CRAZY.  Almost to the point of being unsafe.  It was pretty much taken over by adult men, who felt winning hundreds of tickets would somehow get them ahead in life.  And if it wasn't the men hogging the games, it was other children who would cut right in front of our kids, who at times were waiting over 10 minutes to play.  It was also about a million degrees in there.  The scariest part was that when the big mouse himself came out to greet the birthday kids, he had a legit police escort with him.  I don't even want to know why security was needed for the poor guy.

The kids all had a great time though.  We are up to 12 kiddos now (only 11 were there) and they were able to burn through over 240 coins and get lots of prizes.  We were so glad that we went with the "party option."  At least we had a place to sit and keep our things together.  There was about 10 other parties going on at the same time though, which made it extra crazy there.  Needless to say, we will not be returning to CEC in WI.  Maybe if the boys are lucky, we will go back to the one in West University when we go back in August. :)

I didn't take too many pictures, but here's a few:

Isaac wearing his birthday crown, sporting what he thinks is a smile

Isaac in the ticket blaster, trying to get the tickets flying around.  Our hostess felt bad for our group (maybe because we appeared to be the only "normal" ones there...ha!), so she gave each of the birthday kids a ticket worth 1000 tickets!

Isaac and Mallory (one week apart in age).  You can tell how hot it was in there by their rosy cheeks.

The four year olds Sydney (2 days younger than Isaac), IZ, Caitlin and Mal
