One Year Ago Today....

Caleb kicked his oxygen habit. I remember that we couldn't wait until he was off of it. We hated lugging around all his gear. And by that point he was 10 months old and HATED it as well! The skin on his face was raw from pulling off the tubing and tape so much. But when they told us that he passed his oxygen study and he would be okay without it, we were so scared. (In fact, in the pictures you can see we left the stickers on his face "just in case!") It had become a part of our life and looking at him without the tubing on, was like looking at someone without their glasses. He did great without it and never looked back (well, until after his bronchoscopy, but that wasn't his fault!) Anyway, looking back at pictures from his first tube free day, it reminds me once again how far he has come and the odds he's beaten. He wasn't even able to sit by himself for another 2 months and now he's running all over the place. Truly our little miracle!
