Christmas Eve

My parents came to our house from MN for Christmas. The boys were so happy that they came. They always love it when they get to stay a "really long time."

The boys were so excited to open presents. We let them each open one before we went to church. Caleb got an "All about Mustangs" book and it's now his all time favorite. (It's about 1000 pages and not intended for 5 year olds...probably for collectors, but he LOVES it.) This is a book that he'll sit by HIMSELF and look at for quite a while. He loves it when we read it to him too and has a gazillion questions about Mustangs when we're done. Isaac also opened up a book. His came with a duck and goose puppets and he was just as thrilled. (But he wasn't thrilled about taking pictures before church! HA!)

I guess I didn't take that many pictures of them opening up presents Christmas Eve. Here's one of him wearing the Santa hat that one of his NICU nurses put on him his first Christmas. He could have fit inside it back then!

And a picture of him wearing his new Brett Farve shirt. He told my mom that he wanted a purple shirt with a 4 on it (his favorite color and number). Of course my parents jumped at the opportunity to get him a Vikings shirt! Not taken too good in Packer land! He's holding his "bowden arrow" as Isaac calls it and picked out for him. (Caleb gave Isaac his "very own" camera.)

They were very spoiled with all of the gifts they received. I think one of their favorites was a Nintendo DS. Isaac would play for a hour if we'd let him. Even Caleb likes to play it longer than 5 minutes. They also got a bunch of educational games to go with it, so it's not so bad that they like to play it, right?!
